Thanks for the note. Sent you an email. Using photon beam – there is a lot of info out there on this. It’s a type of IMRT. Loma Linda and Harvard originally implemented this. It’s ideal for my tumor since it’s straddling the primary motor cortex. The objective of the treatment plan of course is to treat both the primary tumor and any areas where microscopic tumor might hide which is an issue with a grade 3 since it’s an infiltrating tumor by nature. There is no way to determine where the cells lie outside of the tumor. This coupled with Temodar, at least as the initial plan for 6 weeks, is the plan. After that, reassess and I’ve made it clear I want to push the standard protocols or medical science and fortunately I have an excellent oncology team who are extremely open-minded and well schooled – they have a vast arsenal of alternative therapies, clinical trials, etc. so I will avail myself to those alternatives when the time comes.
