Yaremi,

First off, never give up hope! I was told I would likely spend my life in a wheelchair and today I walk. My advice is to keep looking and researching. Get in touch with some doctors here in the US if you can that specialize in this type of tumor (in the area it is). There are neurosurgeons that are particularly good at resecting tumors in eloquent areas or specific areas of the brain. I don't know a lot about your situation but stand tall and do not give up. Giving up is letting this defeat you. Do everything you can but most of all, have faith and don't give up. :-)

Hello Mark, I am so happy to hear this news. I am the mother of a 13th year old boy that has a Thalamic Anaplastic Astrocytoma. After surgery, radiation and chemo the tumor has returned and now doctors give him no hope. They even told me he has only 3 month. His oncologist told me about the vaccine, but said they only do it in Belgium, so I am so amaize I read there is a possibility here. Do you have any words of advise for me? Thank you so much.

Mark -

I hope this vaccine works wonders for you. I'm fighting my own battle with cancer now and the article about your efforts was a hopeful sign of progress. Your site is beautiful too.

Best to you and your family.

I want to thank everyone reading this post for all of your prayers and words of support. I'm very happy that the article is creating exposure to this disease that is in desperate need of research funding, particulary in light of the current economic climate. There are amazingly intelligent and persistent medical professionals such as Dr. Nora Wu and Dr. Edie Zusman who are working feverishly to battle this disease every day along side many others around the world. With research funding and time, everyone believes we can one day overcome this disease.

Thanks again to everyone and to others who are here and have been dx with brain tumors or are touched by this disease, know that I pray for you.

Dear Miller family,
I read the Bee article and just wanted you to know that my family will be praying for you and for good results on your next MRI! My son is also a brain tumor warrior (pineoblastoma) and I know the emotions that come with the diagnosis.
We are thinking of you,
With Hope,
Keri

Mark, I can't say enough about your willingness to be a pioneer in this fight. My little brother, mom, dad, aunt, have all been taken too soon from cancer. We know your parents, and your brother Shawn, as we live in Prescott, Arizona, and I want you to know we will be praying for you.
Blessings,
Pastor Skip and Francie Breyer
