Mark, May God bless you and the time you spend with your family. I pray that the rest of your journey be one of comfort and joy. You have been an inspiration to me and the many others who follow your blog. Keep the positive attitude.
I remember when we received bad news about my husband and our pastor offered these comforting words, “YOUR FUTURE IS SECURE.” Mark, may you find peace knowing that God holds you in the palm of His hand and loves you so very much. Remember His promises.
Mark – your brother is on his flight right now to see you as I type this. I asked him to tell you some things for me, but decided to simply post it here myself. I can’t even adequately describe how much I admire your strength and courage and your amazing perspective on life. You truly are an inspiration to so many. I’m sitting here in tears after reading your most recent postings because I know I won’t have a chance to say goodbye in person – I just want you to know how much you are loved. I have such fond memories with you – from the time that I first met you when Shawn and I visited you in So Cal to all the shared laughs throughout the years. Your sense of humor has always been contagious – some very funny moments come flooding my mind. Please know that I am trying hard to not be sorrowful as I am choosing to celebrate your life instead – you are an amazing individual and I am positive you have helped so many others with your blog. I know for me personally, you have helped to remind me of the truly important things in life. I am hoping peace for you and comfort with family surrounding you right now. One day we will all be together again. I love you Mark.

I have loved you since the day I met you. When I gave you the “20 questions” I knew you were the right man for Rachael. You have proven to be that wonderful man over and over again. You are an inspiration to your family and friends. Your boys are precious and you are an awesome father. It is an absolute honor to know you and to know that I will see you again in our loving Father’s arms. And then we will talk……….
Mark,
Your strength and good humor is amazing. Wishing you and your family as many special moments as you can squeeze into the coming weeks/months. Thank you for being such an inspiration.

Mark -
I had hoped to come see you, but after our email chat agreed with you to let that lay a while. What I would say face-to-face, I’ll say now: I would have liked to known you better after we were both saved. Having seemingly wasted so many years of my life in very trivial pursuits, it is always gratifying to learn of the salvation of friends whom I had met along the way. What a tired, dead ‘life’ we once endured. But, now, we live in Christ — the true life that is everlasting. We will meet again, friend. And the rejoicing at that time/place will be great.
